Instead of approaching luciferianism and satanism from a “OH IT’S SO BAD OMG EVERYONE WHO FOLLOWS IT IS BAD. LOVE AND LIGHT BLESSED BE” standpoint, at least learn some things about the religion. If you think you already have a bad rep since you are a ~witch~ and people think you worship satan, why then would you put down people who do (luciferianism). Satanism beliefs state to worship yourself and no one else. I’ve never met a satanist who actually believes in Satan. 

So instead of spreading ignorance and claiming to be ~love and light~ ~open minded~ practice what you fucking preach.

I feel that way, though probably not in so many words, haha.

It’s important to learn everything you can about a religion before you say anything about it… at least that’s how I feel.

Ok this whole thing is starting to get ridiculous now. Yes Wiccans don’t believe in the Devil, but when this is addressed, it means that they don’t believe in the concept of an all evil entity like Christianity and Islam does.

First of all Lucifer wasn’t even the original name of what is known as the being, the Devil. The word “lucifer” means light bearer or day star, morning star (Venus), in Latin. Lucifer wasn’t even a part of the original Hebrew text. The only recorded evidence of the word lucifer ever appearing was in the Latin translations in the Old Testament and are only found in the passage Isaiah 14:12. In the original Hebrew text that translation was meant to translate the Hebrew word for morning star, helel. Even in that passage it was originally about a Bablyonian King, not the fallen angel.

The concept of Satan, the Devil, and eventually over time through translations, Lucifer, the concept of an all evil entity residing over Hell and becoming a fallen angel from the heavens, is in fact strictly a Christianity and Islamic belief. In the original Hebrew texts and Judiasm, the concept of an all evil entity is never mentioned, nor is it believed. For them the concept of Satan is not an all evil entity but rather a metaphor to the evils of the world and that human kind has this within themselves. It’s about choosing between good and bad and not giving into temptations that could lead someone astray.

For the Jewish, the word “satan” means adversary or challenger and the name HaSatan is what Christians and Muslims believe is “the Devil” when in fact in Judiasm the concept of the Devil is even foreign to them and is only found in the Christian and Islamic doctrines. HaSatan is yes an angel just like the Christians and Muslims view of Lucifer however unlike their belief in him rising against God and becoming a fallen angel and the enemy of God, not a demon, HaSatan on the other hand is an angel who’s an adversary to human kind, not God. HaSatan’s job is to tempt human kind and in Judiasm God created both good and evil and its up to human kind to choose what path to take. HaSatan isn’t evil but merely doing his job given to him as being a tester to human kind.

The belief and concept of an all supreme evil being as the Devil was never part of the original Hebrew texts and beliefs and is again purely a Christian and Islamic belief. This is the result of mistranslations and misunderstandings.

Which is why people should research ALL religions before you go judging and which is why I always tell others including other Pagans to research all religions. Pagans, especially Wiccans, always say all religions lead up to the Divine and yet I see all these so called people judging the monotheistic religions, especially Christianity. It’s no different than non-open minded people judging us or any other faith.

Now don’t even get me started in explaining Satanism because I would but seriously wake up. If you think Satanism is what everyone else believes it is then you obviously haven’t researched it yourself and are just assuming what it is based on what you have heard and what you have experienced. I already went on my rant concerning Lucifer and the Devil, and said how people should research other religions before they judge. So I’m not going to go on another long rant on Satanism because honestly people should reasearch and learn for themselves.
